With a record number of more than 230 entrants, this year’s Summer Motion 10K was GREAT! We thank the participants, volunteers, and sponsors for making this event so successful.

The Summer Motion 10K takes place on a USATF to certified 6.2 mile course that travels through downtown Ashland and a bridge across the Ohio River. The race begins and ends between 17th and 18th streets on Central Avenue (in front of Park Place, formerly the American Electric Power building).
There’s a lot more to Summer Motion than just free concerts. Our Central Park festival features a craft show, a petting zoo, games and carnival rides. The Summer Motion 10K Race is recognized as one of the region’s top running events.
